Workstation
My Workstation...in a mess....!!
Having just a few days left in this lab...am already missing it..the fun, the night outs, the awesome views from nearby window , and above all the hard core image analysis that I had to do...!!!
Guess sometimes u discover a lot of the world in a fraction of time...and then it all dawns silly..!!!
Missing all those silly moments...!!!

Malhar...!!!
Not technically malhar.... One of the rain shots on the roads at Germany. Was advised not to flaunt my camera in water, but who cares the risk...!!!
Heard of the weather back at Mumbai and put this for the ocassion....!!!

Lab On Fire...!!!
Ear deafening bells accompanied the 4 fire-brigade engines loaded with water and extinguishers. Events turned otherwise(dissapointed) at the discovery that it was just an erring overcooked potato in a microwave.
And I was there to capture the expected "once in a lifetime" action...
PS : The fire brigades here are automatically directed by the fire alarms on the lab. So even if we find it a non-emergency , nothing can stop the firemen arriving from miles far away.

Photographing a photographer....!!!
I was ready to be part of a photograph when instinctively I felt that catching her stance was more interesting than posing for her.
The momentary focussed mind and steady states are rare events and needs to be captured .
Was spanked later for spoiling the photograph...

Pappa kisses the Gottingen-girl
The small gal stares as her dad waits for his turn to kiss the Göttingen Girl - Gänseliesel
He is among the 6 Indians of abt 30 doctorates from the University this season.
Not a mean feat considering that Georg-August-Universität, Göttingen boasts of
44 Nobel Prize winners - the highest throughout Europe .
They include heavyweights like Enrico Fermi , Otto Hahn , Heisenberg , Max Planck ,Eigen , Dirac and Hertz .
Yup and forgot to tell you..I hope to join the list soon...!!

Doctors, doctors all the way..!!
Phd Convocation function at the Georg-August-Universität, Göttingen ..
Unique traditional customs mark the day... like
Being carried in a self-made hand driven chariots overloaded with wine barrels, liquid nitrogen and decoratives till the City Square... and then
After handing a bouquet around the Göttingen Girl - Gänseliesel , ... Its the KISS on her cheeks that marks the fulfillment of your doctorate .
Not to wonder why she is the "most kissed girl in the world" ..

Its the Time to dance..
Dancing their heart out..
It was the birthday party of my friend Krishnacharya(Pink shirt nearest to the window in the 2nd pic) .. He turns 26... Loads of jubiliation in an Indian party in Germany.
Also this was the ocassion that I had my first drink of life..(I started with Champagne)..Comments on this later..
ps: I am the photographer ..hence in none of the pics.
