Lab On Fire...!!!

Ear deafening bells accompanied the 4 fire-brigade engines loaded with water and extinguishers. Events turned otherwise(dissapointed) at the discovery that it was just an erring overcooked potato in a microwave.

And I was there to capture the expected "once in a lifetime" action...

PS : The fire brigades here are automatically directed by the fire alarms on the lab. So even if we find it a non-emergency , nothing can stop the firemen arriving from miles far away.

This happens so many times at our school... the poor firemen are there rite on time.. false alarm or not.. atleast 50 times I remember and never it actually happened..

No one would like to see Fire fighters on-bench (this term is taken from IT, where guys sit idle for projects to come in). I think few fake alarms shuold be made part of the procedure so that they dont rust there skillz :)

It is imbibed in them that in their job 99 out of 100 times they will get false alarms

But they have to still be on time, everytime because one never knows when the alarm is for real!!

vivhyd : Wow...that sounds a lot many times.. Guess there are many fiery beings arnd in ur school..! But yes, the system is like that.

arz000n : Ya ur theory sounds good , but unfortunately u fall on losing side. Like in this case since every being and organization in germany is insured. Every move of the fire brigade means a hefty payment by the corresponding insurance company to the fire services.

kahini : Well there was no action(false alarm) , since it took place on a floor above me.. I just ran with my camera to pick up faces of those guys.
